Rapicorn is released under the MPLv2 License which is an Open Source license. The license guarantees the freedom to change and share the source code for all users.

The Rapicorn source code uses Git for version control and is hosted at GitHub. New developments happen in topic branches which are merged into the 'devel' branch upon completion. The 'master' branch is used to track releases with infrequent merges from 'devel' after a stabilization phase.
